Default Control switch relocation

I'm thinking about relocation the switches off my bars to else where, looking for some input/ experience. Theory is to mount a rocker switch for the run/ kill and a momentary for the starter on the bottom side of the ECU cover. Thinking trip/ horn and high/ low on the side of the horn cover. I dont run blinkers, just a solo taillight outback. Thank guys

It's a 2013 Street bob

I'd say what you're thinking about doing is not a good idea. You need to have those buttons within a half a second reach and not somewhere that you'll have to fumble around and search for in case an emergency arises .Just get a new handlebar set-up where the switches are less noticeable, like they use on some of the show bikes.

Leave the switches where they are, your life may depend on reaching one of those switches quickly, without looking to see where it is.

Those switches look like they came off an old lawn tractor. It gives the handlebars a cobbled together look.

I've done it before and had no real issues. Relocated the ignition to a hidden toggle switch and used a solenoid plunger (similar to http://www.ebay.com/itm/252282095495) on the starter. I didn't have a horn, turn indicators or a high/low beam anymore, so I didn't need them. I did leave the kill switch on the bars but could have done without it.

I can't remember what company makes it, but somebody makes a small 4 button switch assembly that's made to recess into a grip or mount on the bars for this type of application. There was a Street Bob on this forum at one point that ran this setup, looked really clean.

edit: I can't remember the bike I saw it on, but its called the GripAce.

I never said it was a good or bad choice, only provided an option to the OP
