Default New Noise. Ticking?

I recently picked my bike up from the dealership for having he 15,000km service and noticed this ticking sound every time I turn it off. It definitely wasn't there before and I figure I'd rather ask a stupid question than ignore something that needs to be dealt with. Anyone else have this and is it normal? Only changes I've made are a Stage 1 (about 3 months ago) and it ran fine afterwards. Thanks.

You mean ticking like heat shields cooling off, etc..... engine not running?

Its making a ticking noise with the engine off/not running? If so, that's just the noise metal makes as it cools. Heat shields, fins, etc. Your car/truck does it too to an extent; open the hood after you turn if off, you'll hear metal ticking noises too. It's completely normal. Now if you hearing distinct ticking/pinging noises while your bike is running, that's a different story.

My girlfriend asked me if there was something wrong with my bike the other day, I'm like wtf are you talking about? She's like all those crinkling noises.

Being a mechanical engineer it gave me a great excuse to nerd out about thermodynamics and heat transfer buahahaha.

Thanks guys. I don't hear it when I'm riding but I don't hear too much at all thanks to the pipes. I thought it was normal but was weirded out by the fact that It wasn't making the noise before.

Thanks all!

What does the cool-down noise actually come from? A lot of people have given me different reasons, but no one who really seemed like they knew what they were talking about. I've heard everything from shrinking metal (which is what I lean toward) to oil dripping (which I strongly believe is not the case because Harleys don't have oil passages wide enough to make that much noise).
