Default Hey everyone

Hey everyone how's it goin? I have some questions about my 2011 Dyna fat bob. When I turn the ignition on and turn the off button to run, the bike starts without me touching the start button. And it will continue to turn over and spin the starter after it's running, but if I turn the run switch back to off it stops. Has anyone had this issue before and if so what was the issue and how did you fix it? I think it's a bad starting switch but I wanna be 100% sure. Any and all advice would be much appreciated

Thanks

I agree with your diagnosis. Could also be the starter relay.

thanks for the advice and help, I plan on checking the starter relay and all the wiring while I have it apart. Now I'm trying to figure if I've got to replace both switches or if I can replace just the one. And if the new one comes with the wiring harness attached or if I haft to wire it myself. Because I've been told both ways and seen both options lol

thanks again

You could get a can of contact cleaner and (with the switch off the bars, or at least take out the screws and cover the area so you don't splatter your paint with the spray) and spray the hell out of the mechanism while pressing it in and out. Also, does the button spring back out when pressed? Bad spring maybe?
