Default Problem With Starter Switch

When I try to start my NT, if I hold the starter switch all the way down, I get nothing. In order to get the starter to kick in, I have to kind of find a "sweet spot" in the switch, which is about a 1/4 way down and also apply some pressure straight in while doing so. Then it starts right up. I'm thinking it might be a messed up wire and hopefully an easy fix. I had the bars replaced about a year ago and only started experiencing this recently. Anyone experience this or have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

That sounds like the switch itself. Take the clamshell apart and check for corrosion on the contact points or a loose wire. Good luck.

A new switch is about 65 bucks when I did mine last year. Not hard to change. I did not chase mine back thru the harness. Good luck.

Y'all were correct. Just the switch. Replaced and starting up immediately like it should. Thanks.
