Default Rearset mid controls

I wonder if there is a way to move the midmount controls back to be closer to where they are on dirt bikes, sport tourers, etc.

Any way to do this? Even if I could only put pegs there that would be great.

I haven't seen anything that will bolt right up, but you could fab a set of rear sets that bolt to the stock location but move the pegs back. I've seen guys run Mids that were up and back more, but they built a bracket that mounted on the trans case and ran an open primary with more custom fab work to make it work on the primary side.

They make 'em.

Example:

Above are one-offs from Japan. Stolen pic from another thread.

I recall some maker in the US makes something along these lines, but super-expensive.

I really dont see a reason for doing this unless you drag race your bike or really like sport bike setups. Not hating, plenty of my friends have them but there on 350-500 Horsepower turbocharged hayabusa dragbikes, not on Harleys. unless your draggin' them

It's more a comfort thing. I like that peg location. I don't like the stock mid location, super uncomfortable. For me it is under the hips or way out front. That half way stuff has to go...

I've got forwards on, would just like an alternative for variety.

The ones posted above are one off customs built by tramp cycles. They modified a set of Sato rearsets or a sportster to make those work. You can check the Sato website, they build them for sportsters but don't have a bolt on for dynas.
