Default Cracked rear fender 2011 Street Bob

Was getting ready to ride to work when I noticed a crack in my rear fender. I took a couple a photos (hard to get a good pic because of location) it is at the rear light assembly and runs out to where the fender ends. I only ride solo, and have never dropped or backed into anything. The dealer is going to replace the fender under warranty but says getting a fender and paint will be awhile. Good thing is it wont cost me anything.

and the good news is you'll be getting the reinforced fender so it wont crack again. or so they say. i had 10,000 miles on my stock bob fender before i changed it out and had no cracks.

they can put on a 2013 smooth fender at no charge. Or a super glide fender at no charge if you pay for the tail light. Just a thought, they will do it for you just ask. Unless you like you current set up. Just giving you ideas

Thanks for the advice, I do like the current set up and I like the tail light. I also like free since the warranty is going to cover it. They told me to ride it until they call me to bring it in, plus that crack cant go anywhere its run all the way out to the end of the fender so no worries about more damage. I was just curious about how I got it.

Is that true? That was not the case for me last year. I had one option and that was it. I had them install the fender and leave the tail light out so there is no way it will crack again. I since then filled the holes and had it repainted. But I would of loved to get the 13 fender.

Some do some don't.
I have been running the (Harley Davidson) solo luggage rack that really stiffens the fender up.
No cracks.
