Default Passenger pegs for kids - 2012 fxdwg

Anyone have any ideas on pegs for kids. She is only four right now but loves to ride. Not long trips, just some backroads. I think I would feel better and she would be more comfortable with her feet on pegs. I see ideas for some of the big cruisers but not for a wide-glide.

Good thread idea. My youngest (just turn 7) and couldn't reach the buddy pegs in the fall when he last went for a ride and he'd wrap his legs around my hips...

Did you look at the adjustable pegs? A friend installed a set and swore they made a huge difference for the passenger being comfortable.

Here's a link and the part #s.

LEO will nail you if a passenger doesn't have foot pegs, that includes not being able to reach them

In New Mexico and some other states there are no legal requirements as to feet on pegs or age of passenger. Only thing is that they wear a helmet. The adjustable pegs I have found online don't fit a wide glide. Might have to take my bike in to a dealer and see what they can do. I hate ordering stuff that don't fit.................

If they can't reach the pegs. They should not be on.

The thing is our laws here state that you would need to reach the pegs or get a harness that straps to the driver also that they have to have the proper approved riding gear

here is a link to the harness on ebay they are pricey but it was worth it to have my son come on rides with me when he was younger without the hassle from the cops

but in the end your better off checking your local laws so you don't get ticketed...
