Default Lever question on '13 Street Bob

I'm new to the Harley world, and forum, but I've been browsing and see that you guys are full of info here, so I figured I'd ask a question that I can't seem to find much info on.

I'm wanting to change out the levers on my 2013 Street Bob, and I've found a set that I really like. Only problem is that Harley doesn't make them anymore. They are the Willie G Black levers. I've browsed around and it looks like Harley made 2 different part numbers:

41793-08is the set that is made for the 08-up models and 38933-08 is for 96-07 models. My question is, what is the difference in the levers from the 96-07 and 08-up levers? I've found 2 or 3 places that actually have the 96-07 levers and at a decent price too. If I do end up buying those, will they even work on my bike?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Well thats the obvious answer, but I'm wanting to know WHAT the difference is between them, because if its something simple and stupid that I can modify, then I'm all for getting the levers that I can get ahold of now for cheap. But if theres a boat load of work to make them work, then I'll just wait to find the right part number or move on to another set of levers.
