Default cycle shack slip ons ms-129 ons on 09 street bob

Does anyone have the cs ms-129 slip ons on their dyna I want to know if you have to leave the heat shield off the stock header pipe I'm asking because alot of the pics I see of these slip ons the bikes dont have the heat shield and I dont want to get them if I cant leave the shield on

You don't have to take them off. I don't understand why they did for the pictures. I have the cycle shack turn outs on my 11 FXDC and the heat shields are fine. Order them up, you won't be disappointed!

Yeah I mean I want them but all their other slip ons they show with the stock heat shield and I may emailed a company selling them on ebay and he said to his knowledge these pipes do not work with stock heat shield

so I called cycle shack and they said I can use the stock heat shield for the header pipe but not the muffler (obviously) lol so I ordered them hopefully it works out or I ate $150 cause im not putting pipes on without the heat shield

Or you could just buy a good set of used slip ons and heat shields for way less... New slip ons are a waste of money IMO.

I figured I would post an update on the slip ons I ended up ordering the ms-129 from cycle shack and it's probably the best $150 I ever spent they sound very good and look way better than stock I would recommend them to anyone on a budget or not http://db.tt/Tq1pablH

Well I love the sound and look of the cycke shacks but I've only road with them about 5 short rides and they already rusted and pitted so I tried to clean th. With chrome ckcleaner and 000. Steel wool which I've used on pipes before with no trouble but this time it really dulled the chromed I'm kinda p...... off I will call the company and see what they say if they dont help me out I will not buy from them anymore and I'll get a set of v&H slip ons
