A friend just sent me these pictures...it looks like a custom made rake extender...have you guys ever seen something like this before?

...and if you have, where can you buy it?

that looks scary! Your friend has more ***** than I do because I wouldn't trust my life to that thing. I've ridden plenty of raked out bikes and it was fine when done right. That is not done right

Now more importantly......do you have any more info on that swingarm?

Sorry, I don't know much about the bike except for what you can gather from the pics...I'm hoping somebody knows where this rake extender is made, it's worth looking into! It sure looks easier than cutting and re-welding the frame neck.

Cutting and raking is the second best, this would be just above the triple trees that toss out your front end to about a 45 degree rake.

You want a raked frame, buy one and build a bike.

You start cutting and welding stuff, it gets all bad real quick and if you are talking about the skeletal structure of the machine that is hurling you down the road at break neck speeds, I'd rather be concerned about traffic and pot holes than if my rigged up half assed frame is gonna sty in one piece... ya dig?

Sure, I know where you're getting at, which is why I want to know if anyone knows where they make this piece, because it seems that its installation does not require messing with the frame.

You dont have to mess with the frame to rake a neck noob.. I'm kicking around a rake for my FXDC right now.. that dosent require a single weld to be made.. depends on the level of rake that you want.. there are NUMEROUS threads from the Dyna guys on here about this subject.. from moded trees.. to a raked cup and stem kit ... dont forget the rake and trail calculator also.. to far outside of "trim" on either end can cause major handling issues..

What do you think they did before you could just go buy a frame??? A good welder can make the frame stronger than it was before the cut...My dad was a good welder and raked many a bike in the 60-70s...
