Well anybody that does there own work, if your changing cams in a 2007 TC or newer and plan cams as part of your build u will need some bearings. You can go to the stealership and get some. Or do what I did go to your local bearing shop or have NAPA order you some good USA made bearings. the numbers are B-168,L125 made in USA and packed in Koyo box just picked up some at bearing store. $ 5.37 each. Not a bad deal. Happy Motoring The L 125 is a Lube code.

Life span varies, if you have hydraulic chain tensioner, the bearings seem to last a lot longer. Old style tensioner overloading the cams, too much pressure on bearings, they could go as early as 30,000miles.
More rollers, less friction. $10 safe insurance
Let's see the difference, left is original right is full rollers.

Although I agree that the older style had more issues with inner cam bearings, it is not because of the tensioners. The chain and tensioner side of the cam is supported by the outer cam bearing, or lack of on '06-up models. The inner cam bearings mainly just support that side of the cam and valvetrain pressures. The reason the new bearings seem to last longer is at the same time that they updated the tensioners they went to a larger diameter inner cam bearing. Bigger bearing, more surface area, lasts longer, even though it still wasn't full compliment.
Yes, always a good idea to replace them with a full compliment bearing anytime you change the cams, or have it apart. The screamin eagle inners are also made in usa full compliment bearings and they're only $20 retail. Harley knows it's an issue. Not only did they increase the bearing size they now recommend using the se bearings with anything but stock cams and the se bearings now come in cvo bikes.

Just for the record, the stock INA bearing is also made in the USA. INA has a plant (actually several) in the small town I used to live in, in South Carolina. It's no easy task to get a job there. But the way the Torrington is designed is better. At least we're comparing apples to apples.
