Default Rear turn signal help

I had to get dual filament housings on the rear of my 2008 Street Bob, they came in today and they are 3 wire. My stock ones were 2 wire and I can't figure out how to wire them up so that I can still use my RUN/TURN/BRAKE module.

I have the LED inserts and hooked up the ground and the one that was the brightest (turn signal) but when I hit the brake nothing happened but the turn signal blinked normal then fast light there was a light out. I'm not electrical smart so I have no idea what to do...HELP!!!!

Are your stock lights run/turn/brake?

No, I just got the run turn brake module. I had an issue with my air ride when I went to low and it ripped the casing off of the wires. Got to thinking if I may have fried my module.

Very possible, if you are using led. Don't need the module. You could use a diode and a 1.4k resistor.

I moved a while back and when packing my stock rear turn signals got misplaced. I had been running the license plate with them integrated. Can anyone tell me if the stock turn signals are dual or single filament? Parts manual is showing single, I just want to be absolutely sure!

From what I see, if you have the big tail light or the donkey dick tail light. Your turns signals are single filament. But you could always pull a single wire off your tail light to run the stop light on the led one.

Don't have either stock tail lights and don't plan on using them. I had the kuryakyn RUN/TURN/BRAKE license plate. I want to go back to stock style turn signals. Couldn't I just wire up the LED inserts straight to the plug's and do away with the socket housing?

Rear turn signals are single filament.

You cannot use the dual filament housings in combination with the R/T/B module.

Go here to find 2008 Dyna models wiring diagrams.

If you want to use the dual filament housings you have to connect the blue wire to pin 1 on the tail light board and the 5W filament will light up like the day marker on the front.

Pin 1 = tail light
Pin 2 = brake light
Pin 3 = ground

I ended up just buying the single filament LED's and a new RUN/TURN/BRAKE module since mine is fried. So now I have red dual filament LED's and black nickel housing with dual filament sockets up for sale.
