Default Power source for air ride switches

Not sure I'll be correct on this so input is welcomed. I have a run turn brake module on my 08 Street Bob so I'm not using the plug for the stock tail light. I saw a wiring diagram that pin 1 is a hot wire and pin 3 is a ground.

Would it be safe to say that I could remove pin 2 and use it as a source of power and ground for my air ride switch instead of splicing into an ignition power source? After all it is wired into a 15amp fuse.

Pin 2 only activates the brake when applied but I have need for it since I have the module. Again it's just a thought as I am no wiring expert. All comments welcome. Thanks guys!

Here is another question for ya. Does the 2 Pin supply continuous power or only be activated when the brake is applied? How would that effect your pumps power input. I would think that the 1 Pin would be the better choice if it is a hot wire and you put a switch between it and the pump, it only get power when the acc or ignition is switched on correct?

That I'm not sure about. Another forum member informed me pin 1 is a hot wire along with a diagram on another subject I had posted about. I'm not sure if pin 2 is constant hot wire or only when brake is applied. That's really what I need to know.

Get yourself a Continuity Tester and test the line for current with the switch on and switch off. This way you can see if the line is always hot.

Here is what one looks like.

I have one already and here is what I found:

Pin 1 is always hot
Pin 2 is only hot when brake is applied
Pin 3 is the ground

When I have time I'll play around with the switches and see if there is any power draw backs.
