Default red sears jack and frame scratches

Am I the only one who seems to scratch the frame on my FXDC everytime I jack the silly thing up? Seems I'm always touching up underneath where the jack rubs against the jiffy stand stop..

Blue painters tape, I put 2 layers on the bottom of the frame before jacking it up... I always keep a couple of rolls in the garage, use it all the time to protect surfaces when working on the bike..

Why isn't the rubber on the lift not protecting the frame?
I use 2 small pieces of oak wood to go on the rear so the lift will not hit the oil pan. On the front the rubber pads protect the frame.

The rubber does ok. Seems I get the side of the rails rubbing against something under the bike each time. Usually, the jiffy stand stop and the lug under the brake directly across from the jiffy. Only positive is it gives me an opportunity to touch up the more than I think there should be stone chips under the bike.
