My rear turn signal wires came unclipped and rubbed bare on rear tire which made the security lamp come on steady. I fixed the wires but now the security lamp comes on for about 4 seconds after engine start, is this a problem? Any help greatly appreciated! thanks 2004 fxdi

 

Interesting.....my manual on my 2014, says that the security lamp on the speedo, SHOULD stay on of 4 seconds after starting, then go off.

I had an alarm installed and the red light would not go off, so I took it to my dealer and it was a code issue. Fixed it for free.

 

It does come on when turn key on and goes out but comes back on for about four seconds then goes out
