Default Battery tender pigtail install

Would it be acceptable to use the Battery terminal on the starter to install the pigtail. There are wires all ready attached to the battery for the led lights so there's not a lot of room under the seat. This would be on my wife's 06 Softail. Thanks

Yes, but simply getting to the battery terminal on a Softail starter is a *huge* job....

take the battery out of the battery box you should see daylight fish the end of the piigtail thru that spot and secure it so you can hook up to the tender hook the eyelets to the respective terminals (negative can go to the grounding lug) secure with cable ties to make sure it stays where you want it
