Default Decorative Led's killing battery

Anyone had problems with LED light installation causing a battery drain?
I have 3 LED Dot lights that draw a mere 24MV even when lit.
But if I don't ride for more than 2 weeks the battery is completely drained.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Any other mods, such as changed handlebars, extended/internal wired switches, extra lights?

With the bike off put a multimeter on the battery and watch for 5 minutes. See if you have a slow drain. If you do narrow it down by unplugging things until it stops.

24mV? Do you mean 24mA? Volts is force potential, amps is current flow. Volts present will not drain your battery, current flow will. 24mA will drain your battery if it is connected long enough and how long it takes to drain the battery will depend on the health of the battery.

Readings for parasitic amp draw are best taken at the battery. Disconnect the battery negative cable, put the amp meter positive lead on the cable and the negative lead on the battery post. Set at the max amp setting and read.

DO NOT CRANK...that will blow the fuse in the meter.

Good luck!

Great advice. This should be a sticky for novices to read.
