$6300 seem reasonable for this 97 RK?
I didnt hear back from the guy with the 96 so moving on.
Opps...'97 RK: Listed as 17,500 on the engine with pics of odo verifying; rebuilt transmision; CFR pipes with two other sets (type not mentioned); looks like sundowner seat; includes a jack (which I dont have so could use)
Got an appointment to look at it this evening.

The 1997 road king should have a speedometer with an LCD odometer.
That speedometer year is a rather difficult speedometer to change because it is not a plug and play unit like newer bikes.
So if it has the bunch of wires under it then i would doubt it was changed.
Still, rather odd for a transmission to require a rebuild at such low miles.
When people state things such as "miles on the engine" it makes me wonder why the rest of the bike does not have the same miles.
When i read rebuild...that makes me wonder also since that is a very general term...could mean they changed the oil and a shift lever.
Sometimes sellers post stuff but really have no idea what they mean.
The picture shown looks nice.

Not a bad looking bike at all, good luck with everything!

You should talk to the guy who started this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...ike-worth.html
Don't know if you want the bike, and don't know how much he needs for it, but that's the kind of Evo I like to buy.
