Default Update swingarm pivot shaft covers

Does anyone know if I can update the swingarm pivot shaft covers on my 90 FLHTC. I know I'll have footboard mounts, only reason I want to change them is the wife can't reach the floorboards. Her legs rest on the rear saddlebag bars. I've tried to find other options to fix the problem but found nothing for my bike. This is the only way I can figure out to remedy the problem. Thanks

The one on the left is what's on my bike. The one on the right is what I want to upgrade to.

My wife is 5'3" and has plenty of bend in the knee. How short is your lady? I'm trying to imagine her not being able to reach the boards.

There are aftermarket kits out there that raise or lower the boards. Kuryakyn maybe?

Took a quick look at the parts from my 97 (what you want to upgrade to) and your 90. The only part number that is different in the whole swingarm shaft assembly is that cover. Even uses same mounting bolts. So if the bolt holes on the two cover line up the same I would see no reason why you couldn't.

Thank you that answered my question, before posting I looked on the Web and couldn't find anything about it.
