Does anyone know of any company that makes passenger floor boards that will fit on a Heritage that already has a pivot bolt cover and swing arm covers? Every thing I have found says in order for me to put on boards I have to remove my swing arm and pivot bolt covers? My swing arm covers are the fat ones that stick outnot the thin flat insert ones.
I already know the HD ones will not work and I saw something from Kuryakyn that looks promising, but not sure if that will work either. My wife really wants floor boards and I want them so she will stop melting her boots on my mufflers!
I looked for months for a passenger footboard that could be used with the pivot bolt covers to no avail. You can modify your pivot bolt covers to fit by grinding some of the material off but there are no pivot covers that will bolt directly on. You can get a chrome pivot bolt bolt.Kuryakynmakes a footboard that mounts to the peg adapters. They look ok but do not have the classic look of the stock footboards. Igave up on the footboards and ordered a set of the kuryakyn swingwings'cause the wife said she just wanted a wider peg.I haven't rec'd them yet and don't know if they will work either. If the wife doesn't like them I may go talk to a fabricator about having some mounts made to adapt the footboards to the peg adapter. There aren't alot of options out there for the footboards.
