I am working on a 95 fuel injected bike and need to remove the fuel tank. Do the two fuel lines going to the bottom left side of the tank come off the tank? I bought a manual for it, but it must be for the early models and does not include any FI stuff. I did a forum search on this and most everyone talks about the newer Delphi system quick disconnects.
Also, how do I drain the tank so I can remove the cross-over hose?
In your case I would get a 1/4 in. piece of hose about 3 ft. long and simply siphon it out. That is what I had to do when I still had a vacuum operated petcock.
just looked at my book says just unscrew the hex nut at bottom of line, but run it out of gas 1st its under pressure. unplug fuel pump wires and let it run out. any other questions i can look them up but grab you a 95-96 flt service manual from the dealer big help
from drawing in book they screw together right under the tank you can wrench them apart? looks like just in front of seat on lkleft side? but book says to also syphon down the tank below the cross over line on the front of tank
