S&S Hot Kits for Twin Cam 88
Any opinion, good or bad, concerning S&S Hot Kits for stock 88" motors? Want to increase to 95" with 100 ft# torque & 100 rwhp. Want to keep compression to 10:1
Also any opinion on boring stock jugs to 95 and porting stock heads to achieve same desired results? Will be going away from chain driven to gear driven cams, any suggestion on cams?
Thanks

If I were you I would take a look at theGMR Performance Power Pack 2 http://www.gmrperformance.com/
Now that's a hot set up. The dyno sheets on these kits are phenomenal. TQhit100ftlbs ataround 2500 RPM and stays above 100 to 5500. Makes around 105 HP at 5500 rpm.

Doug is a good guy at http://www.head-quarters.com/index.html Jugs punched out $150, cam $300, Gear drive $400, Heads $900 to $1200, Pistons $300 pushrods $140 These are rough prices. You should be able to do the whole upper half of motor for around $2000 to $2500 you do work or $3200 to $4000 for someone else to do the work.
Im taking mine in Friday / Head work, JE pistons ,Gear Drive Cam, Jugs, pushrods tuned All the good stuff for around $3600 drop off and pick it up DONE. From Profile

Reading this forum has helped alot. After flip flopping on various builds, I'm going with the NHRS 97" kit, s&s 510g cam set, Sending my head to NHRS to get worked. They do hold the record for the fastest bike, so I think the parts they recommend should come well recommended.

In my opinion you'll be under cammed with the .510. I would run either the S&S .575 or Woods TW6HG. The Woods will make better power all the way around but will be a little harder on the valve train. Mild head porting is all that's needed to feed a 95" motor.
