Very impressive torque curve!Did yourun the cams before the big bore kit? I will change cams when Iconvert the cam chain to gears. I want a good torque, mileage touring cam set. How would your cam do with 88 inches.

no i did not. i did the wholebuild at one time but the 26s are great with stock ste up, or a justa mild 95. you might also look at head quarters cam they are great cams. if i was tochange cams, that would be were i go next.

Those peak numbers are great! I'm probably gonna get some heat for saying this, but those peak numbers are similar to maineultraclassic's numbers. But I believe that his heads were done as well. Would be interesting to put the bikesone after the otheron the same dyno.

Overall, if I were you, i would be very please with the results. I hope I have similar results when I decide to go 95". But for now, I am working on doing the 88" / headquarters cam setup. I'll try that for one year.

good job!

P.S. - did Phil pass on some HP/TQ secrets for that build???

Very nice !! I take it the dip around 3500 is a common trate for the fatcat?? I ask because I have one sitting in a box that will be put on in the spring.

[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif] "HEAT x 2!" Stock heads and stock compression ~ not even .030 gaskets!

"Peak" is good, but the real beauty is that it's strong all the way across.

Dennis ~ "Speed Secret"..... I broke those cams in, in my engine 1st! [8D] Also, I held the camera and snapped pics while allen built it. As has been said, a gazillion times, "It's all about using matched components". Those cams are "designed" for usewith stock flowing heads and @ stock CR.

BTW - Allen.... I enjoyed riding it @ practice Sunday, but now that it's tuned, I wanna take it for a whirl on the road!

Charlie - to an extent, yes, the dip @ 3500 is inherrent to the pipe design, BUT what is also inherrent is the fact that it rises very early (RPMwise) and stays high for a long time. The magnitude of the dip depends on the build, but the "general" shape of the torque curve is a characteristic of the pipe. Personally, with my riding style, I can not feel it on the road, but I CAN feel the PULL that's there anytime I twist'r up!
