Default Cold ride

Well I got on my bike for the first time in almost a month. The weather here in arkansas has either been too cold or too rainy the last month to ride. I just got back from Florida where all I saw on the road were lots of bikers, most riding with no helmets and short sleeves. So even tho it is 35 here, I layered up and headed out on the Sporty. Very cold, hands were freezing, legs got cold, but I had so much fun. Couldnt have gone much further than I did, 50 miles, but so glad I did. I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
Ride safe and have fun.

Good to hear you are keeping your skills sharp. I've used these to keep my hands warm in winter. Chaps or half chaps keep the legs warm.

Been quite a mild winter so far....I ride down to the upper 20's *F. So still enjoying weekends. I just double up in layers the old fashioned way, not into all the space suit heated stuff.

I thought about getting those but I wanted actual heat but not an extra pair of gloves, so I getting heated glove liners. Now if UPS will deliver them.

I use to wear chaps for cold weather riding but found I prefer flannel lined jeans with sweats underneath. At some point I may break down and try a pair of heated gloves. What really amazed me was how much better cold weather riding feels wearing my recently purchased full face helmet in comparison to my 3/4 open face.

You can dress in layers and keep everything warm--except for your hands. You're gripping a metal bar wrapped in plastic that is exposed to the elements. If you're going to ride in the cold get some heated grips or gloves, you will not regret it.
