Throttle by wire

with the switch housing off, try another throttle grip. I have seen the gear socket in the end of the grip go bad and cause different issues, sometimes no throttle actuation. do you have the stock grips on or an aftermarket set? If you have a different one install it and just try it all apart. If it feels ok then reassemble the switch housing, and try that. If its ok, you might need another grip. there are lots of issues with the throttle switch, but I haven't heard of the switch itself getting hard to turn, but I guess it could. It is spring loaded and I suppose the spring could start hanging up. Let us know

Cables............
Sorry but, after a hundred years of reliable operation, I still think they are the better system for throttle control. And yes, I've had TBW, short story, broken wire caused wide open throttle on tight left hand turns. Scary, gimme cables.
I guess what I'm getting to is lose the the new pig (i did) and get an older bike without all of the electronics. It's the only fix I could come up with.

I guess cables have never stuck (open or closed) in some world.
Since everything that could bind is right there in the throttle assembly, whatever is causing the resistance has to be there. Sometimes I find looking a second or third time I find something had not seen before. Or, you could replace the entire assembly, it comes with the servo that operates the throttle and it aint cheap.
