My '07 Dyna FXDC needs some new tires and I am debating replacing the OEM Dunlops with Metzler ME 880's. Any thoughts?

 

Your bike will handle much better with the Metz's. I have never used them , but everyone I know who does loves the Metzelers. Was going to switch to them, but I found a much berrer deal an Avons.

Metz 880! The difference is like night and day. I used to have to drive on bridges with the steel grated decking. The Dunlopswobbled and twitchedlike you were on ice! The Metzlers would drive across with hardly a wiggle.Also, I've noticed the turn in is easierand the 'sweeping turn wobble/weave' is virtually gone as well. There will never be another Dunlop on my HD.

 

I just put Metz 880 tires on my wife's 1100 Yam Virago and she loves them. I'll be making the switch on my EGC when the Dunlops wear out.

 

Metzlers on my bike. I thought it was s different bike bike when I got on it.

 

I guess that I will have to be the one that is different here. A friend of mine rides hard and he always goes with Dunlop because they last the longest with him. My style of riding is different than his and I just changed my Dunlops for some new ones. The reason that I went with Dunlops is because I had a little over 13,000 miles on my stock tires. The wear bars were starting to show on the back so I just had them both changed. I don't have any experience with other brands of tires but since these lasted so long with me, I decided to stay with something that I knew about. Good luck

 

Metz are much better then Dunlops IMO. Some of the Borthers are starting to use Continentals and say they run just as good as the Metz. Waiting to see how long they last...................
