Talking Cam job parts list? Am I forgetting anything.

So here is my wish list: woods 555 cam, woods directional lifters, woods adjustible push tubes, HD cam chain tensioners, timken bearings, cam chest gaskets, push tube and oil pump o-rings, asorted cam shims, cam lock tool, lifter holder aka paper clip, dyno tune appointment or new power comander v or a SERT map from Jamie for my set up. I got 1100.00 saved up and I think I will need a few more bucks if anyone wants do donate for the cause of curing the freeway 6th gear lag! Thanks for the imput.

Have u read through the Fuel Moto 555 thread,
They tested it in a 103? and did dynos with and without the 4* advance sprocket,, it did move the Tq to the left about 250prms..

good reading if U haven't seen it.. Also I read somewhere about a bump in comp really helps with the 555 cam, better across the board.

Yes I have been reading every thread for the 555, tw6, 107build and for the money it doesnt seem to move the curve over enough and I plan to do the 107 as soon as I can get enough scratch after this build. I dont drag race and its a daily driver for me. I have 83 thou on her now and want to replace the tensioners and what the hell while im in there do the cam!

How are Ur orginal tensioners looking, haven't read any issues so far on them, but not many have over 50k as U do.. Are Urs showing any wear yet,?

I like the results I got with the 26h's,, but it looks like either the tw6 or 555 makes about 10/10 better than the andrews... that'd be = to doing a 103 in mine.

Thinking if I did a 103 kit, wood 555, good pipes, Holly chit I know I'd throw Grandma off the rear If I did that built...

At least it seems the new system on the 96''is a lot better than the 88's was

Ever since I hit 50k I have been cutting my filter open and have had no signs of plastic or metal but 8ok+ seemt to be a good time to replace them in my book and from what ive read the firs 07's had an ornge shoe and the later ones revised to a white shoe although I have only heard of one or two hyd tensioner failers. But mainly I have been drueling over the 555-tw6 and 107 #'s and with a summer trip from cali to montana and a small stash of cash everythink seems to be falling into place and after 4 years with no power upgrades other than a stage one/D&D fatcat I'm ready for some more power.

You can save a few dollars by not buying the cam lock tool as it isn't neccessary.

Your parts list looks good. You might look at dropping an extra $20 and get the SE magnetic lifter holders. They work good. You might need to put a small screwdriver under them to get the lifters up high enough to remove the cam plate. I've never got that binder clip trick to work.

If all your looking for is more oomph in 6th gear, you might look into a 30 tooth trans sprocket. I couldn't believe the difference it made on my '07 Road Glide. Save you a boat load of cash too.

Agree with the little left, on the 4* in F-M's test dnyo sheets. Read in the past it usually ='s about 250rpm move left, on there sheets it don't even look that much.

Ur gonna love the diff after U do the work on her.

Just the 91/80 i got was a big seat in the pants change, stg1 didn't really do too much for my #'s.. but ran really good and flawless...

Also 1st I've herd about the new improved white tensioners. Thanks for that info.

Only averaging 10k a yr, here in IND we only get 5 maybe 6 months of good riding temp for us ole folks. (don't like the cold) So it should be several yrs before needing them.

Good luk on the built.
