Default blown bulbs

I just finished installing new bars, wiring and switches yesterday. Everything was going good until this afternoon, about 220 miles later. I hit the left turn signal button and was waiting at a light when I looked down and noticed that the green arrow on my dash wasn't blinking. Once I got home, I noticed the only running light (besides the rear brake light) was the right front. The back right comes on if i hit the signal, but I have no lights on the left and the rear bulb is blown.

Any ideas if this is related to the new bars.. or just coincidence?

Also, the red key is lit up on my speedo.. not sure why.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a short to me. If you're good with a meter you should be able to find it.

Yeah... thats the problem haha. I would have thought a short would pop a fuse too. I pulled the bulb from the other side and stuck it in there and let it run for a few minutes and the signal is working just fine and it didn't blow it. The bikes an 09, and idk if they ever changed the bulbs.

A short wouldn't blow a fuse. A grounded wire would.

oh.. shows how much i know about the electrical side of things. I checked the fuses, but don't have any blown. It was too late to get bulbs by the time i got back to town, but I'm going to pick some up tomorrow and see what happens.
