Why don't car oil change places do Harleys?
I've been wondering this for a while. Why don't any of the quick lube oil change places that we take our cars to offer services for bikes? I'd imagine the profit margin on a Harley is much higher than a $14.95 oil change on a Honda Civic.. why don't any of these places try to cash in on this?

Who would trust Jiffy lube kids to change three holes on a Harley? Personally I would not take my cars to them or any quick lube shop. dealer or do it at home. Most of the time the dealer is less expensive.

Yeah not saying I trust these guys to know the difference from my ******* and a hole in the ground.. but I still don't get why they wouldn't want to try to cash in on the money potential here.

...Or for that matter, anyone who actually cares about their motorcycle. I've heard of cars who have left a quick oil change type shop and had the oil leak out on the way home because the high school drop out so-called tech did not tighten the oil drain plug. The only person that I trust with servicing my Harley is my Indy mechanic.

I imagine there was never a market for it in the past. Years ago most people that owned a bike, did regular maintenance themselves. Certainly doesn't get much easier than a bike to change oil on. Someone would have to be fully aware they'd need to turn in their man-card if they were seen going to a junky-lube with their bike.
