Default Drop in voltage

At normal cruise rpm's (2400 and over) my voltage gauge shows a charge of 14 volts. Recently when i turn on my spots or use the lighter the voltage drops to 12 volts and rises immediately when turned off. Battery shows good voltage at 12.5v, regulator shows good. Also the P & A fuse blew recently. Where do I begin looking for a solution? Thanks in advance.

You may have a charging problem, or simply a poor connection has raised its head. For help on checking your charging, go to the DIY section of HDF and the Eletrical part, where you will find some helpful stickys. As for connections, check, clean and tighten all your main power connections (both ends of the main power cables), plus connectors in the supply wiring to your spots. You may find the damp has got in and caused corrosion, if so pull apart, clean, dialectic grease and refit.

Hopefully the culprit will identify itself while working through the above!
