I am a long time Ski Lift Mechanic and also hold an Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P) for aircraft. When the manufacturer tells you to use any particular loctite product, you had better use it or a compatible substitute! Just 35 years of experience speaking. Do not take this or torque values lightly!
Anything less is a hack.

I always Locktite things that shouldn't move, Never Sieze thinks that need to move, and dielectric grease on every electrical connection...including the master fuse.
