Default Loctite
Is it necessary to use loctite on every single bolt/fastener on a Sportser?

Does the vibration shake everything loose so much?

Check your service manual and it will tell you when and where to use Loctite, and which strength to use. If you don't have a service manual, get yourself one.

Blue is pretty much all you need, There are a few places that call for red but those places are internal........

And YES, use blue on almost all of it.

Blue loctite is your new friend................

AND - as things shake loose (in my experience they will) put em back together with the blue! I never quite figured out why they don't just build them already done up!!

I have a tube of "blue" and have been using it on everything. Well except on some of the bolts with locnuts.

I guess I could do that too. It only adds a second to the process.

You only have to use locktite on the bolts, screws etc that you want to stay tightened.

Go ahead and buy a case of locktite online somewhere, you're gonna need it.

I think I've only used loctite on my mirrors, and I've removed replaced nearly anything. It's also strutted now.

YMMV.
