there are some places you need red locktite, but mostly use the blue. Not sure what the factory loctite is. Dont use red unless called for in the manual and as piasspj said, dont use any when going into plastic...
The white goop is Loctite "Pipe Sealant With Teflon", I believe. At least that's what my service manual calls out for pipe plugs and the fuel petcock. It's a thread sealant, not a thread locker.

It may not be a threadlocker, but it does a fine job of it.
Thanks for the input guys. I just wasn't sure if all of those bolts were supposed to be loctited or not. I assumed that they were even if the instruction sheets don't specifically call for it.
My Dyna seems like it would shake most anything loose that didn't have it on there.
But it's one of the things I love about the bike...
Blue loctite if you want to keep it but might have to take it off sometime in the future. Red loctite is you plan on being dead or someone else will own the bike when it needs removing, plus you can't do without it. Thread sealant if you need to keep a liquid in without over-tightening.
