Hi All , i just bought a 2016 FLHXS today and very excited about my purchase, not my first harley for sure, but this new bike is different from what i am familiar with and have a couple questions.

Will the vented lowers from an 06 work on this bike?
What cam are in these HO 103 motors?

 

Dont think the lowers will work without mods.
The cams are close to the se 255

 

Harley shows different part numbers for lowers 2014 and up. However, it lists the same part number fitting a 2016 Tri Glide and a 2006 FLHX, so if you have a set lying around it might not hurt to give them a try and see how far off they are.

 

I think it should fit with slight modifications on Rushmore models but since you don't have passing lamps probably no modification required. 2016 Tri Glide is no different then any other 14 and up Rushmore models it's probably an error.

 

The newer lowers are different, but I don't think they fit different... My guess it that they will bolt right up.

 

Well today i had a chance to mock them up, just need a little trimming to clear the rear brake master cylinder and they will mount up
