ok I am wondering about some lowers, for those of you that have them, I wanna get a set to put on my 88 flh and I wanna do the new style of the lowers with the pockets not the older style, can you make these fit on the older one's ??? It seems to be they only mount up to the crash bar ??? if anyone has done this please let me know how and if it was hard to do I really like the lowers and wanna try to make a set fit my bike...and input welcome thanks
According to the HD catalog, the vented fairing lowers fit '88 and newer Touring models (except Road Glides)--these come with the glove boxes (same as an Ultra)--don't know if you can order your color or not. Painted, they are about $520 delivered from Zanotti's; primered are about $200 less.

Harley shows these fit all 1983 and up except FLTR.
I couldn't find a listing on your bike specifically (1988 FLHS)
They only attach to the crash bar , so I don't know if they would work with a sidecar rig.
If they do , they work really well when vented/glove compartment setup.
Sorry I don't know more
Mick
sweet the hacks not on all the time I just would like to get a set of these for winter maybe may get those leather ones if I can find a good deal on a set of these
I have the HD soft lowers with the bar and shield. Easy on & off. If it's so cold you need to leg protection nobody will fault you for having $50 lowers over the $600 ones.
