Im sure its been asked. but does anyone know if the old model lowers will fit on the new models 2014 and up... mainly 2017 and 2018? I just do not like the look of the new lowers, they left to mush on the table imo.
What do you mean by they left too much on the table? Rushmore vented lowers look and operate better than previous lowers. IMHO Now,if the front crash bar part numbers are the same, they will fit.

THIS...plus: I have a 2012 Ultra Limited and did not like the extreme rattling I was getting from my lowers. I bought a set of take-offs from a 2015 and they fit perfectly and the rattling stopped. I prefer the newer type lowers over the older ones. That being said, I sold my 2012 lowers to a guy with a 2003 Electra Glide...they were a perfect fit.
Agree with what ever one else said so far. I went from the older style to the Rushmore ones and I feel the flow more air they the ones I had even though the vents are smaller.
I know this is an older thread but maybe someone will check it. I have a 2009 Ultra Classic and the lower had the big curved doors that always rattled and never stayed closed in the cold. I took the doors off.
My question is will the newer 2014 and later fit? I like the vent I can close but no rattle.

like craig said, yes they will fit. but, for a few bucks you can replace the rubber bushing (hd calls it a spring) on the vent door and that will cure your rattles.
item 12. holy crap, they've raised the price on the little booger, used to be about $5. for that cost, i would take the old one and go to a skateboard shop and see if they had a bushing for the trucks that would fit.
