Assuming you have a 2014 model since you're posting in the Rushmore section, shouldn't be bad already as they have the newer style SE comp as stock.

Okay, let's try this again. I'll phrase the question differently. What are the symptoms of a compensator going bad ?

You'll hear it grinding until you pull the clutch in then it'll quiet down,thats what my 2010 sounded like.
