Bummer. Highway 1 is one of my favorite roads and those curved bridges were some of the best parts.

Luckily for me, I did it this last summer. There were already a few stretches of construction along the way, but nothing this bad.

Hopefully the new bridges will be as beautiful as the old ones.

Yeah, no one is getting through Big Sur for a quite a while... lots of slides, sink holes and lost bridges all around our area.

At least it isn't the Bixby Creek Bridge. Every motorcycle rider should ride across that bridge with a blanket strapped above the headlight at least once

Rode across it last summer. Kind of amazed, as a bridge it doesn't look that old. Quite a bit of water erosion I guess.

One of our favorite rides is down the coast to Cambria for lunch on Moonstone Beach. Won't be doing that ride this year.

By the way if you buy gas in Gorda, it's only 6.98 per gallon!
