I got the 2nd clutch cable on. This one is 6 inches over stock.
I also got the pipes on. Now just waiting on the throttle cable to arrive next.
Just got word The Guess Who is coming up here in the Arizona mountains this june 27th for the bike rally at the Hon-Dah Casino.
Another reason to get it done!!

I'm a little late, but thank you.

As for the bike in this thread, it sure as hell is a thing of beauty and I hope mine ends up just as nice.

Ok, I added the Stealth black throttle cables, and fired it up for the first time since about august!!
Having already changed out the transmission fluid and primary fluid, I gave the engine oil change a nod. The fluid was pretty bad. When I bought it 1500 miles, and last summer ago, I was told it was all serviced. I should have known better. But no problem, it will get synth on schedule from now on.
I put on a factory siren upgrade, and will add a pager too. I already worry about it when I am in a restaurant. It may not stop a serious person, but should reduce the curious!!
On the driver side, just under the seat, you will see where I placed a usb connector. May be handy, and it unplugs and plugs right into a trickle charger without unbolting the seat from the bar.
Mr. powder coater called me with some more finished parts. I will pick them up Friday, put them on, and start test driving/adjusting stuff.
I still have the breakout wheel to put on, and the front brake system is getting rebuilt with a black line too (of course).
Security upgrade was a snap. She chirps now on start and stop.
Be back next weekend!

Today I put on some parts back from the powder coater.
I had a new Elite Heavy Breather done in all black, mostly because I have not seen anyone else do it. I mounted it on a DK breather intake for the 636 ( it fits), and even had the hose clamp and bolts to the throttle body powder coated.
Anyway, with that one, I bounced over to the other side and put on the kickstand, which was also powder coated.
Here, I have a question, if anyone knows. It has been off a while and I got the main part mounted and functioning ok. But less than an inch away, is a hole near the kickstand swivel. It has a pin and bushing the fit there, but dang if I can remember what it is for. It does not seem to go to anything, and if I were to put it in, the pin would fall out in short order!
Anyone??
Then I bleed the front brakes, and mounted the seat, with Jack on the back.
Then I went riding. Amazingly, everything worked fine. No adjustments to anything needed.
I will be rebuilding the front master cylinder, replacing the front brake line with a black one, and putting the Breakout wheel on the front , in the coming months. But I am now back riding for the 1st time since end of summer. Today's shakedown went well, and I am pleased with the fit.
Decided I am going to Laughlin Rally next month. The bike will be there, if you want to see, or even, have a beer!
Ride safe!

I did the front brakes today. I put new oem pads on (old ones were 80%,but I was there, so I changed em.) Replaced the old brake line that had melted an was the wrong color for the newer look anyway. If you look, with my new handlebars and risers, it was too short.
For those who did not know, the whole upgrade this winter started with a short in the old handlebars, grounding out through my brake line, and melting the plastic cover over the braided line!!!!
This is why I also rebuilt the master cylinder at the same time, and replaced the old sight cap with an arlen ness cover with a new gasket.
Next posting with be next month when I put the Breakout rim on.
But right now, I am packing up for the Laughlin River Run in a couple of weeks. Ride time!!

The man who built the true cruise control for my 04 heritage rides a night train..
He told me that his style of riding is both hands in his lap going down the road...
I believe him and wow,, to me he's hardcore...

Sort of a double post. I also put the Breakout wheel on a Night Train pics on a similar post.
But for those looking at just this one, I had the Powder Pro powder coat my lower forks, and rebuild them while they were apart.
I then put a Michelin Commander tire on a Breakout rim, and mounted it up. Lastly, a Risky Business fender off of Ebay went to a local powder coater, and got put on.
I also added a black Daymaker LED headlight while waitng. Worth the install, I promise! Ditch to ditch lights up the road!
Bike Rally in 5 days with the Guess Who playing.
Just in time!!
Time to ride!
