Default Night train drag bar install

I have a 2001 FXSTBI, im wanting to put either some carlini t bar with a 9 inch rise, or the white brothers burly bars with the 8 1/4 inch rise. im just wondering if anyone knows if I can do this without changing my cables and wires.

I doubt it. the cables and wires are realy short. I think you will have to change all youre cables and wires. You can extend the wires youreself or get extended wire kits from some vendors. Its not that hard, just take youre time.

At the very least, you'll need a longer brake line.

I had the same Carlini's 9"r7"pb.I had to get the 2" longer throttle and brake.Clutch was fine. Removed the tank to make the wiring easier, needed to massage the harness a little. Anymore pullback and you'll need to extend the wires.

well since you only needed the 2 inch longer throttle cable the 7 inch carlinis with 5" pullback should work right? i just hate the stance of my bars now, im leaning forward like im on a rice burner. im tryin to lean back like a man. I just dont have the money or time to replace all the cables.

Even if you could manage to somehow get away with using the stock electrical wiring, it would be very tight along with the clutch and brake line. I think if anything you might be able to get away with the clutch line, but I doubt the throttle and idle cable.

You can get a good clutch and brake line on dennis kirk pretty cheap, along with the throttle/idle cables. For the electrical, you can go two routes..you can get the namz pack of oem colored wiring, or go to radio shack and pay 8 bucks for some 18ga stranded wiring.

Replacing the bars is something that costs BOTH time and money, just the way it is.
