Reaching the Kickstand

I am purchasing a 2006 Heritage Classic, but I can not reach the kickstand to get it up, with out using a cord to lift it up. I am 5'8" with a 30" inseam. Does anyone have a solution for me?

I am about the same stature as you and have never had a problem. I guess it must be my air ride or something. Get an extension, or lower your bike, or wear taller boots.

kickstand

My wife had a problem reaching the kickstand on her flstc. I took the passenger seat mount tab from a 650 Yamaha custom and mounted it on her kickstand by drilling the end of the kickstand and tapping it to accept a 1/4 20 button head screw. It's a small tab, but it did the trick. Don and Pam

I have the 50249-05 on my bike. Calling it an extended jiffy stand is a bit misleading, since it isn't any longer then the stock jiffy stand. It just allows you to get your boot on it easier to extend it when it is flush to the frame. I never have paid attention if I use the additional arm to retract it.
