Narrow Glide on Fatboy

The original superglide was an FL with a sportster front end on it. I am sure the shovelhead FL was heavier than your fatboy with aluminum evo and the tubes on that front end were smaller than 39mm. The weight will not be an issue a little heavier oil and maybe add some RSD preload adjusters. Guarantee you will find a sporty front end much easier and cheaper than a Rocker or even a Dyna front end.

I had already though about the fork brace. Had one on my streetbob. And thought about a steering stabilizer. Hadn't thought about upgrading the springs but I definitely will now. Just gotta find a wheel and look at upgrading the brakes.

It'll be fine
An 02 Dyna Low Rider (which ran the 39 mm)
weighed in at 660 lb. An 02 Fatboy was 705.
The 39mm was a little soft in the ride dept
(The frt end on the 93 Sporty my wife had
would bottom out easily.
I would also suggest Progv/Susp springs.
It totally cured the problem.
You're talkin Old School now. The narrow frt
end was the look in the 70's.

For that mid control from excile you're gonna need either an open primary or Dyna primary covers that have the hole in them for the shifter.
Excile has a set up (sold separately) that will take care of your rear brake master cylinder on the other side of the bike.
You'll also need the mid mount brackets from a dyna. Easy to find those used here on the forum.
Good luck mang !
