Cruise on Fatboy !?

The only system I've seen runs around $1200 and is not a Harley system.
That being said, even though cruise is a nice option to have IMO if you're riding so much that you need cruise control that often a Softail isn't the right bike for how you want to ride.
Of course I'm not referring to those that have physical disabilities.

Can you provide more specifics on what cruise control a Harley Dealer can install that cost $300 plus labor?

He graciously built one for me. It's great. And he is fantastic to work with
He said he won't do anymore, but he said that before he built mine.

You don't mention what yours cost, but it's highly unlikely that a Harley-Davidson supplied and fitted system will cost as low as $300 - I'm also keen to hear more detail from @texan80 , and might even consider one at that price.

We only take "day" rides, never overnight so we never "tour" on our Heritage.
The seat and suspension were added just for general comfort not for touring.
As for the tour pak, we do pack a cooler and sometimes lunch on our day rides but we rarely ride the highway, staying on two lane back roads whenever possible.
We also use the tour pak to store our helmets when bar hopping as well as it holds a case of beer when needed.
Also, I fell into the tour pak for $150 with the mount so how could I have passed it up.
I will concede that as far as "touring" on a softail is concerned the Heritage is the best bike however even with my upgrades if I was going to be touring a lot I'd buy a bike that was designed for touring.
But that's just my opinion.
