Default Cruise on Fatboy !?

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere; I couldn't find it specifically for the recent Softail models.... but can cruise control be fitted; either HD or third party?

Nope. The only softails that come with cruise control are the CVO's.

Yeah,a Harley dealer can put a cruise control on your bike.
Runs around 300 or so,plus labor.
Been thinking about getting one for my 2012 FatBoy Lo.

Can you provide more specifics on what cruise control a Harley Dealer can install that cost $300 plus labor?
The only system I've seen runs around $1200 and is not a Harley system.

That being said, even though cruise is a nice option to have IMO if you're riding so much that you need cruise control that often a Softail isn't the right bike for how you want to ride.
Of course I'm not referring to those that have physical disabilities.

It exactly is a Harley system..that guy built them for Harley corporate..
He graciously built one for me. It's great. And he is fantastic to work with
He said he won't do anymore, but he said that before he built mine.

What would you say a Heritage Softail is for? Especially one kitted out with all the luggage yours has?

I installed "Harley" cruise on my 2012 FLSTC.

How sure are you that it's the same thing @texan80 is discussing?

You don't mention what yours cost, but it's highly unlikely that a Harley-Davidson supplied and fitted system will cost as low as $300 - I'm also keen to hear more detail from @texan80 , and might even consider one at that price.

My Heritage does have an upgraded seat and suspension and a tour pak, but none were installed for touring.
We only take "day" rides, never overnight so we never "tour" on our Heritage.
The seat and suspension were added just for general comfort not for touring.

As for the tour pak, we do pack a cooler and sometimes lunch on our day rides but we rarely ride the highway, staying on two lane back roads whenever possible.
We also use the tour pak to store our helmets when bar hopping as well as it holds a case of beer when needed.
Also, I fell into the tour pak for $150 with the mount so how could I have passed it up.

I will concede that as far as "touring" on a softail is concerned the Heritage is the best bike however even with my upgrades if I was going to be touring a lot I'd buy a bike that was designed for touring.
But that's just my opinion.

What's the HD part number?
For $300 I might want to buy that kit.
