Default Need advice on selling a 2002 FXSTD

This is my first post. Sorry for the length and hope it's okay to list my question in this section? My dad passed away last year and I've been trying to list his bikes for sale.

My nephew wanted one and my mom gave him a CVO Softail Deuce. It had extremely low miles. We have a 2002 FXSTSI with about 3600 miles. I put a new battery in it and began cleaning it up to list for sale. Now my nephew tells me he wants to buy it. (he doesn't want to load miles on the CVO)

If anyone is willing, I'd love your opinions, how would you price the 2002 if it was yours? Unfortunately where it's sitting at the moment, I can't really get good pics. But, I've included a few. Thanks in advance!

Condition: There's a very small nic at the stitching on the leather seat, almost not visible. A place on right side front of tank. Paint blemish- rock pelts? It's been kept in a temperature controlled garage and other than these things all of it looks really good- wheels paint chrome. My dad was fond of tweaking things. He may have installed some performance engine parts. Other than a test drive, I have no way of knowing. Below is what I do know about the bike:

2002 Springer Softail FXSTSI- 3600 Miles
NADA Average: $7,320 Low: $5,565.
Factory two tone burgundy red and soft black paint.
Black trimmed with coral and silver gray pin-striping.
Wheels: Front 21” ThunderStar Mag. Rear 16” Solid Fatboy Mag.
Vance Hines Exhaust Pipes
Custom mirrors
Custom hand grips
Custom foot pegs, rider and passenger
“Live to Ride” timer cover.
Leather tank panel with pouch

The Pictures are not of a FXSTD. They are a a FXSTS/softail springer. I would say a springer with that low miles would pull 8-9000 fairly easily. A 21" front wheel would not require modification to fit on that bike so I doubt the front end was extended. Do you still have the stock wheels for it?

Hey, thanks a bunch for the quick answer. He has another Springer sitting right next to it, older model. In comparison they look the same length to me. The Vin came up as a FXSTD, maybe I better double check the VIN #. It's possible he still has the wheels somewhere. He rarely got rid of anything, especially not a bike part.

Hope that it is your error in transcribing the numbers. A springer softail should sell easily and for more than the Deuce!

Ok, got the VIN off the bike and pulled it. Came back as a FXSTSI. NADA average $7320, low $5565.

So, if it were your bike you'd strictly pick a number between $7320 and $5565.
You wouldn't consider the 95% below normal average mileage or anything else. Are you my nephew? Thanks for your input.

What kind of deal you give your nephew is up to you, but if I were listing it for sale on craigslist I would list it at 9,000, and take 8000. Springers are getting hard to find and aside from that clear coat pealing on the tank yours looks clean. A lot of people on here may say they would never buy it because the miles are so low so the seals and gaskets might be dried out, (which may or may not hold true) there's still plenty of people that would jump on a low mile springer.

Thanks so much for your input, extremely helpful. If you wouldn't mind me picking your brain a little more, I'd like to hear your thoughts on a 1995 SS 12,000 miles. It looks as good and clean as the 2002. Paint and chrome all really nice. It's also been in temp controlled garage. Only exception, wire spoke rims. I'm not expecting anything mechanical but I just got a battery for it. Thanks again!
