My sons looking to buy this bike for $8500, it has 25,000 miles on it and looks to be in good condition. Just looking for any advise from anyone who rides these as to reliability, issues etc. thanks
I ride a 98 softail (FXSTC). It has an "Evolution" motor akin to the bike your son is considering. My bike has just shy of 50,000 trouble free miles. I have owned two other Evolutions and piled up a lot of miles without incident. If the 91 Softail Springer engine was significantly "hopped up," he may want to consider replacing the lifters as they seem to be the weakest point ofthese magnificant motors. All this being said, a 2000 or newer softailwill a have different "Twin Cam" motor and a considerably smoother ride.
I am selling a 2000 Springer - 16 K miles, loads of chrome, always garaged, very clean, chrome swing arm, three seats, chrome wheels (and original set of spoked wheels) - asking $11,000 - in Connecticut
Price is in the ball park, maybe a little high but it depends on the overall condition and whats been added, engine work etc. The bike has an EVO motor and they are known to be a great engine. Take a look around at the auction sites to get a feel for what they are going for.
Original thread date is August, 2007. Why the idiot keeps dragging up old threads to try and sell his bike is ridiculous. We have a classified section here.

I guess because he only has 4 posts and you need 25 to post in the classified section.

I guess he needs to hang around a little while longer before he tries selling his sh*t on this forum then. Hijacking someone elses thread, even if that thread is 2 years old, in order to sell something isn't appropriate.

Ain't gonna sell anyway, at least until he puts down the crack pipe.
