I just put on the standard chrome HD highway bars on my 07 FLSTC. What's going toscrape first, the floorboards or the bars? I have scraped both floorboards before putting on the bars but it sure looks like the bars are closer to the ground. Thanks.

I have the same Heritage Classic. I also have the HD engine guards on. I haven't hit the bars but have scrapped the front floorboards in the past. Just added Vances & Hines long shots with SE AC & Power Commander. Not much ride time with 6-12" of snow on the ground & weather in the 20's.

 

Pipes first, boards next, frame after that.
I have kicked the rear tire out, but never hit the engine guards.

 

With the pipes you have in your sig the floorboards will scrape first.I have the HD nostalgic engine guard and never scraped it yet.

When i had the v&h Big shot longs they would scrape before the boards.Dont think you will have an issue with the engine guard.

 

I knew the pipes wouldn't scrape as I've scraped the boards before butI am glad the bars won't hit first. That would suck I imagine to hit those things as I doubt they would give much.

 

I have the same bike and same highway bars. I've hit the floorboards twice, but the bars didn't touch.
