I went with the HD Mustache engine guard for my 07. My legs are so short (30" inseam on a good day!), I don't need to stretch out any so I went with what I thought looked good.

I got the Mustache Bars ( available at your dealer ).
They are relatively expensive but are top construction and look fab on my FLSTC.
......
This link shows different views of the ( Mustache ) bars on my bike...

Default Mustache

I also went to the Mustache from HD. There are very nice. Nostalgic. Great with the Heritage look.

I went with the Moustache Bar from HD as well...got it on EBAY for a discounted price and it looks really nice on my Heritage. I don't stretch out too often, but when I do it feels pretty good. If you like to put your legs up constantly, you may want to invest in a set of pegs as well (makes it a little more comfy). Nice looking Heritage BTW!

I have the standard engine guard on mine. I really like the nostalgic guard though...either one will serve it's purpose well.

The standard guard is more box shaped where as the nostalgic guard is round.

Here is a picture of my bike...you can see the standard HD engine guard is almost rectangular shaped.
