Default Engine Guards/Crash Bars

I have an '07 Heritage and looking to install a engine guard/hiway peg set up. I'm not sold on what HD has to offer. Kinda like the looks of what Kuryakyn has to offer, but hate to spend the $$ on something I won't like after 1000 miles. Looking for the perfect combo of style and function, plus it'll need to fit with floorboard extensions. Any thoughts?

Check out the mustache bars they provide the best of both worlds. I believe there are a few manufacturers these days.

I am not a big fan of kuryakun parts for some reason. Something with the look of the chrome that I just don't like much. I prefer the quality of most after market parts made in the USA because I think the chrome looks better. HD parts have always been good even though we all know where most of their stuff now comes from. Either way I have the engine guard and bag guards from HD and very much like them. I have footpegs on the engine guards and have the lower covers for the bars for colder weather riding. The HD bars have been good for me and I like the classis look. Just my two cents.

I also prefer the more classic look. Here is a great deal. Although it was new and in original packing, it did have a couple scratches - overall very happy with it.

For a Heritage i like the nostalgaic (sp) style engine guard by Harley as it compliments the nostalgaic bike. I find the the Kuryakyn bar to be the wrong style, and the lindby as well.

Those other shaped ones just look out of place in my opinion on that bike.

I have the mustache Engine Guard on my Heritage Classic. I really do not like it. Rarely use them not that much difference in having my feet on the boards or just a little bit forward.
If you like to use highway pegs then just get the regular type of Engine Guard.

Be sure that the guard will work with extended floorboards, somm wont fit.

If your interested in a HD Mustache Guard that is powdercoated gloss black with billet highwaypeg mounts I have one for sale, excellent condition.
