I received one for Christmas...ooops sorry sorry sorry I mean the during the December holiday season. Mine is a Magellian, I think they make a mount that will go on the bars. To tell you the truth I really don't care sqwat about putting it on my bike but my wife bought it for me so....

I'm transferring my Zumo to my '08 Heritage now. Recommend you mount the GPS on the left handle bar so you can use your left hand to push buttons.

If you have a newish ('04 and later?) FLSTC, there is a switched power source available. On the fuse block cover, you will see a 2 Amp fuse location marked P&A with a dashed line around it. You can pry the fuse block up enough to get a wire with the male fuse terminal into the underside of the block. The part should be available from HD or NAPA. Hook the GPS positive to the wire. Then hook the GPS negative to the ground bus.

Just me, but I don't favor inserting a GPS up to an always hot power source.

I have a TOMTOM 910 and the windshield mount attaches securely to the glass of the speedo. You cannot see the speedo but GPS shows your speed. I attached a safety lanyard just in case the suction cup decided to let loose, but I've never had any problems.

I have a couple pics of my Garmin Nuvii attached to my Fatboy.
If you think they might help, I could try to send them to you e-mail.

I just put a tom-tom 510 on. Used RAM Mounts on the handle bars.. Found a direct-wire power cord on ebay (a store that sells a lot of different ones)Whatever brand you pick MAKE SURE the unit runs on a SD Card and not a micro drive.. I tried a magellan and every bump it would lock up!
