Security system and used bikes
Just a note to you guys who have purchased used. I had my security system code pulled out of the bike by the dealer. The previous owner had set a personal code and I never thought to ask about it. If you set the alarm and the key fob is lost, damaged or the battery goes dead you cannot start the bike.
You also cannot reset the personal code if you dont know what the existing one is.
Have the dealer check it out and reset it for you or at least let you know what the existing code it. You can reset it yourself, but you need to know what the existing one is.
